Ice Cream Gender Reveal

IT’S A G-I-R-L!!!!!

February 26, 2020

Jon and I waited to find out the gender of baby #4 until our 19 week anatomy scan. I had a hard time sleeping the night before because of all the excitement! We planned on having a small intimate gathering with just our closest family to announce the news! My sweet friend Robin Smith made the most beautiful “What’s the Scoop?” reveal cake! She also made ice cream cone cupcakes for the kids! They were adorable!

I looked into renting a local faux ice cream cart & having a balloon arch made and it was pretty pricey! So, I decided to DIY it instead! I figured it would be so fun to have an ice cream stand/cooler by the pool this Summer! So I found this one online and also a garland kit similar to this DIY balloon garland kit! (The exact balloon kit I ordered is currently unavailable.) It was my 1st time making a balloon garland with the included balloon tape and it made it super fast to put together! I just added teal balloons for the reveal. I couldn’t resist this minty-teal ice cream cart! It is even more beautiful in person! I loved the shelf at the bottom and picture that being the perfect place for folded pool towels! I also purchased an electric air pump that made putting the balloon arch together so quick and easy! I highly recommend it! I anchored the balloon arch to an inexpensive white umbrella. You could also use a larger umbrella like this cute set-up.

The ice cream theme was a huge hit with our kids and family! I’m already planning to use this cart again for Savannah’s 9th birthday this Summer! She loved this Ice cream garland we found and it was easy to put together! The ice cream cones are a great size and complete the theme really nicely! This rose-gold baby balloon made an adorable family prop also!

It was such a fun day and I really enjoyed having Jon and I being the only ones to know for a day! It was our little secret together! I would have been so happy either way with a girl or a boy, but I am really looking forward to having another sweet baby girl! Bring on the tiny dresses and baby bows! Thanks for stopping by!

Love, Jojo
